NOSHU Product Review

Hey there Vit Fitters......

Wandering around facebook last week I stumbled across https://www.facebook.com/NoshuFoods" target="_blank">NOSHU ....

Healthy donuts... yes thats right I said HEALTHY DONUTS!!!

Well I just HAD to buy a mixed box to try and review....

Pic: box of 12 mixed donuts from Noshu.

So I took along one of the dark chocolate and raspberry ones for my PT client to try today and we loved it.... tastes like mud cake!!!

So this afternoon hubby and I had one each, he tried the banana coconut and I tired the caramel spice...  YUM!

Pic: Caramel Spice (tastes like a regular cinnamon and sugar coated donut)

Seriously you will think....these are TOO GOOD to be healthy ;) but they ARE low GI and average 160 calories per serve

I chatted with Rachel one of the founders via messenger today in regards to the use of palm oil in their products... something I was very concerned about, however she assures me they too were concerned and so have spend the extra time and money to ensure their product uses ethically, sustainably sourced RSPO Palm kernal oil... yay for a company that actually cares...about the consumer's health, about providing a quality product, about being sure the customer is 100% happy....

......and with all natural ingredients; no added sugar; diary, gluten, nut and grain free; preservative free.... with no artifical colours or flavours AND and created by an environmentally ethical company to boot... what more could you ask for!!

I highly recommend you give these a try...... they are available at many stores, health food shops and coffee vans... but even better they can be ordered online and delivered to your door in a cooler box! These delicious donuts can even be frozen for around 5 months!

I can assure you... this wont be our last order ;)

Overnight Oats....

Overnight Oats... whats NOT to love???

They are easy, adaptable and best of all they take about 3 mins to p-repare and you have breakfast ready to go when you wake up!

The basic Recipe for Overnight Oats is as follows:

1. First, mix rolled oats (or rolled/flaked grains of your choice - Rye, Oats, Wheats, Tricale etc) approx 1/4 cup per person

2. Add an an equal amount of your liquid of choice. You can use any combination of dairy or non-dairy milk, yogurt, or even juice; just stick with the same basic 1:1 ratio.

Note: If you’re using steel cut oats instead, use more liquid and be prepared for a more chewy concoction!

3. Mix any spices, sweeteners, or dried fruit etc you like into the mix

4. Store in a glass jar or any airtight container (be warned some plastics are not safe for storing foods in overnight due to leaching of toxins - glass or ceramic is best or check your plastics!) set in fridge and leave til morning.

5. In the morning, you can add  fresh fruit compode, crushed toasted nuts, and any other favorite toppings to your oatmeal.

The above combinations are as follows:

Berry's and Cream Overnight Oats - Moster Co. Berry Meuseli, Dried mixed berries, yogurt 'choc' chips, almonds mix with greek yogurt and raw honey

Fruity Overnight Oats - 1/4 cup Moster Co Tropical Meusli, dried tropical fruit, 1 grated apple, coconut water.

Almond Choc Chip Overnight Oats - 1/4 cup mixed grain porridge, 2 tblsp cacoa nibs, 1 tblsp ark choc chips, flaked almonds, almond milk.
